Some countries outside the United States do not yet support Apple's Volume Purchasing Program (VPP). Those seeking an alternative may wish to try a manual work-around for this issue. It involves having the administrator gift the app to a user. Gift codes generated when using the "Gift this App" purchase option in iTunes can be used within NotifyMDM in the same manner as VPP redemption codes. Within NotifyMDM, use the iTunes link to the app and enter the gift code as the redemption code. The app will then be installed on the user's device as a managed app. An app can be gifted multiple times. Gifted apps can only be redeemed in the App Store in which they were purchased. There is no way to purchase mulitple licenses at one time. Though this is not an ideal solution and will require manual actions by the administrator, it is the only way that Notify Technology Corporation has found to purchase apps for a user when the VPP is not available. Countries where the Volume Purchase Program is available are Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Redemption codes are different for each country, so you must add multiple sets of codes to the GO!Enterprise MDM server if you have purchased apps for users in more than one country. | |
