Maximum contacts returned from a remote lookup varies by device and OS

NotifyLink ActiveSync Solution:

Search results (the number of contacts returned) for a remote lookup will vary depending on the ActiveSync device type and sometimes the device OS.

iPhone OS 3.0 returns a maximum of 51 results.  There is no option to retrieve more.

iPhone OS 2.0 through 2.2.1 returns a maximum of 26 results.  There is no option to retrieve more.

Windows Mobile returns 100 results.  However, a warning appears directing the user to narrow the search if it finds a full 100 results.


Workaround
To work around these limits, users are advised to refine the search by simply adding one or more additional characters to the string with which they are searching.
