0x583 on Windows Mobile 5 device while syncing

Windows Mobile 5:

When syncing a Windows Mobile 5 device, you receive an error code of 0x583.  The device is unable to sync successfully.

1.  Go into Outlook on the device.  Then go to the Outbox.
2.  Delete any messages that are in the Outbox.
3.  Soft reset the device.

After the device resets, you should be able to sync successfully.
