"The information store could not be opened" in NLPIM log

If you are receiving the following error in the NLPim.log then please verify that you have the necessary PIM ports open from the NotifyLink server.

In PIM log:
"The information store could not be opened. [MAPI 1.0 - MAPI_E_LOGON_FAILED]]"

Verify that you are able to perform the following telnet tests from the server running the Messaging component of NotifyLink.

telnet "mail server ip" 5729 (without quotes)
telnet "mail server ip" 5750 (without quotes)

Replace with the actual IP address or DNS of the mail server you are trying to connect to for PIM. If it takes you to a blank screen then you have successfully connected. If it fails, you will see an error message and then you will need to open these ports in your firewall.
