Contacts changes on a Exchange 2007 server result in missing email addresses on device

If a contact is created on the device and then edited on a Exchange 2007 server, any email address(es) it contains are gone when the contact change is synchronized to the device. This was reproduced using Outlook 2003, but not the web access client.
