Direct Push connections on ActiveSync devices prematurely disconnect when reverse proxy is used to assign the DNS to the NotifyLink Http/Web component. Since the connection is terminated before the direct push interval expires, the wait time before reconnection may be longer than is expected for Direct Push. Workaround Users experiencing this are advised to switch their synchronization to a Scheduled Push mode, as wait times before reconnection could be shorter and more predictable. -On iPhone/iPod touch switch to "Fetch" mode. -On Windows Mobile ActiveSync devices switch from "As items arrive" to a set interval check.
