PIM fields not supported on the server are wiped from the device

Server and device application PIM fields do not always match. 
This issue involves PIM items, created on a device, containing data in fields not supported by the server.  Such an item will synchronize to the server.  However, if a change is made to the item on the server and synchronized to the device, all the fields not supported by the server will be wiped out on the device.
Example: If you create a contact on a BlackBerry device using fields that are not supported in the collaboration suite, those particular fields will be wiped off the contact if a change is made on the server and synchronized to the device.
