Problem:
After setting up NotifyLink on a 4.3 OS BlackBerry device or higher, a personal email account has also been added.  Since adding the personal BIS email account, the NotifyLink calendar is not syncing properly.

Answer:
The 4.3 and higher BlackBerry OS allows support for multiple calendars.  NotifyLink uses the "default" calendar on the device.  At times, after adding a personal account, the default calendar will change.  Unfortunately, there is no way for NotifyLink to chose which calendar it will be linked with so it will use whichever calendar the BlackBerry system happens to allow at that time.  It could be the Default calendar or any of the BIS account calendars.

Generally these BIS calendar accounts are not capable of full synchronization with the BIS account and are therefore unnecessary. NotifyLink recommends removing these calendars from the device to avoid confusion, since they're probably not going to miss the few features they get out of them.

To remove the BIS account calendars first turn off Calendar synchronization in PIM Settings on the device, just to make sure no deletes are sent up to the server. You can do this by going into NotifyLink Email -> Select the Menu -> Select Preferences -> Select the Menu button -> Select PIM Settings -> Uncheck the Sync Calendar option and then Save the change.  Then go into the service books in Options -> Advanced Settings -> Service Book and find the CICAL service book associated with each BIS account. The type is indicated by square brackets so you will see something like username@domain.com [CICAL]. Highlight it and from the menu choose Delete.

Doing this only deletes the BIS calendars, you will notice that there are also MIME service records associated with the BIS account, and that represents the e-mail portion. As long as those items are not touched, the BIS Email will continue to work as expected, only the calendar association will be terminated.

Once you have done this, you will need to turn Calendar syncing back on again on the device.  You can do this by going into NotifyLink Email -> Select the Menu -> Select Preferences -> Select the Menu button -> Select PIM Settings -> Check the Sync Calendar option and then Save the change.
