Upper ASCII characters in the Notes field sync to the device in UTF-8
Posted by - NA - on 30 June 2009 10:01 AM

When an event or task with Upper ASCII characters in the "notes" field is created or modified on the device and is subsequently modified using Outlook, the ASCII characters synchronized back to the device are UTF-8 encoded (appear as unintelligible characters).

Examples of Upper ASCII characters are: ¢, £, ¥, ¼, ½

NOTE: This issue is resolved in Zimbra v5.0.11 / OL Connector 5.0.2767.10.
