To accommodate TouchDown users (versions 6.4.0002 or higher), the Maximum plain text email body truncation size (in KB) setting in NotifyMDM must be set to a value that TouchDown supports. When the setting is a value other than 4, 5, 7, 10, 20, 50, or 100 KB, an error message appears when a user enters the Advanced TouchDown settings on the device. The message reads: “Your administrator has limited the amount of data you can synchronize. Please select a lower value.” This message will continue to pop up if the user clicks OK. To effectively stop the message from appearing, the user must back out of the Settings. To prevent this from occurring, administrators should select one of the values listed above for the Maximum plain text email body truncation size setting, located in the Device Control > Email category of the NotifyMDM Policy Suite. Users should then match that value when defining the setting in TouchDown. The error message will not appear when the values are specified as such, and match on the server and device. In addition, the error does not occur if this policy rule is set to No Max or Headers. | |
