Because of the following issues, it is recommended that Windows security update KB2509553 not be installed on a Windows Server 2003 x64 box where GO!NotifyLink Enterprise Server (GO!NLES) will be installed.

• If the Windows security update KB2509553 is installed on a Windows Server 2003 x64 box, the GO!NotifyLink Enterprise Server (GO!NLES) SQL Database installer will not work properly.  This is the case when the user clicks either the “Install All 3 Components” option or just attempts to install the SQL DB component separately.
• Even though manually executing the enterprise_sql-base.exe from the bin folder appears to correctly initiate the SQL DB installer, the following GO!NotifyLink Enterprise Server (GO!NLES) services will not start when Windows security update KB2509553 is present on a Windows Server 2003 x64 box:
  • NLES NotificationController
  • NLES PimService
  • NLES ResponseHandler
  • NLES ValidateLeaseService

An error also displays. - “Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.”
