All day recurring event that ends "by" a date adds an extra day

When an all-day recurring event is created on a Sun UCS 7 (Update 1) server, an extra day is added after what should be the last occurrence.

This is an issue originating with the Sun server software. A workaround is to delete the extra occurrence.
