Unable to enter more than 4 characters as Authentication Password during registration
Unable to enter more than 4 characters as Authentication Password during registration
Article
Problem
You are unable to enter more than 4 characters into the Authentication Password field during registration. An error message is displayed indicating that no more characters can be entered into the field.
Error Message
"Field is Full"
Solution
This is a user interface bug with SureType that exists in certainĀ newer versions of the BlackBerry device operating system software. To enter the full Authentication password and continue the registration process you must disable SureType (enable MultiTap). Once SureType has been disabled and MultiTap has been enabled you will be able to enter the full password into the Authentication Password field.
