NotifySync Device Client:

Problem

Properties of a calendar event that is associated with a meeting that are usually the responsibility of the organizer become editable to all attendees of the meeting. These properties are usually read-only to all parties of the meeting except for the organizer. Such properties include the meeting date and time, the attendees, and the organizer.

Solution

This issue occurs as a result of calendar event changes being synchronized from the device to the server when using the Exchange ActiveSync protocol version 2.5 with a Microsoft Exchange 2007 server. The solution is to upgrade NotifySync to version 4.6.12 or later. Version 4.6.12 will suppress all changes to calendar events that are associated with meetings in order to avoid the server-side meeting event from being corrupted by the change. NotifySync version 4.7.0 does not use EAS protocol version 2.5 and therefore will allow synchronization of changes made to events associated with meetings without corruption of the item in the server-side account.
